I just made my first baby surprise jacket, pretty mindless, and wickedly interesting how the blob becomes a sweater jacket. Lorna's laces superwash... it GREW horribly when I tried to block it out, and then I threw it in the dryer with a bunch of towels, and it is fabulous, all packaged up and ready to mail to the new mom.

And that possum blend yarn is UBER soft!Lisa/knitnzuhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11818145565043351659noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-577210556432625675.post-8279693344232132942013-02-24T15:18:41.724-06:002013-02-24T15:18:41.724-06:00My mom got me opossum-fiber gloves from New Zealan...My mom got me opossum-fiber gloves from New Zealand and I had imagined it coming from the animal in the first photo...I feel better now.

And that yarn does really look transformed. I may need to get one in every color. Too bad they don't make a nice royal purple...DeirdreKnitshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09815679312096894486noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-577210556432625675.post-67997517241330988742013-02-24T05:01:06.959-06:002013-02-24T05:01:06.959-06:00Precious possum, who would have thought? (Have seen an opossum once, which was more than enough - and the sight certainly didn't generate any yarn ideas!)Asplundhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03632889633679589209noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-577210556432625675.post-56035522087250845192013-02-23T19:10:45.447-06:002013-02-23T19:10:45.447-06:00Oh I AM glad you looked up the difference, because...Oh I AM glad you looked up the difference, because it never occurred to me to do the same, and I was horrified by the idea of smelly possum yarn. Those other things are right cute, though. Who knows - maybe if they discover how lovely the fiber is, they'll farm them instead of culling them...kittenhttp://www.pacalaga.comnoreply@blogger.com
